Excellent piece of work! I 100% agree with Shashi Bhanu that it is indeed an extremely difficult task to obtain information and write about the history of a place like Araria, unlike Delhi or Patna. So well done for this genuine effort of yours Professor Jha from the core of my heart. I really don't understand why some people are using this comment section to utter the useless and discouraging remarks reflecting their negative attitudes. If they think anything is wrong in this article, they should suggest the correction with references, rather than criticizing alone.
So professor Jha, I would request you to kindly continue your good work and add even more things to this section. Could you please also add some information about the history of Forbesganj, Bathnaha, Bhadreshwar, Jogbani etc, if possible? I grew up in that region and always wanted to know more about the history of these places, but was never able to. I have been living in Europe for almost a decade now but always feel connected and finding this page while just googling was a great bonus to me today.

Prof Jha:
I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the research and comprising a history of our town. I know it was difficult. It is easier to write a history of Delhi or Patna because there is an abundance of resources. But to try to comprise a history of Araria appears to be an uphill battle for me. I wonder where did you find the resource material to do the research.
I really found the research very informative. Your presentation and chronological sequencing of the events of our history also appeared to be pretty good.
Professor Saheb! Please keep up the good work and enlighten us more about our shared history.

Dear Prof. Jha:
Congratulations for providing historic information on Araria. Our forefathers worked for Raj Darbhanga. Raghubir Kunwar (Kumar) was sent to quench the uprising by Birshah (Beeru se Birshah bhaye, base kosika teer. Ya pat rakhe Kosika, ya rakhe Raghubir. Birnagar is named after him. We belong to Chakmaka near Birnagar. My uncle Sarayu Narain Kunwar (Kumarji) was very close to Kumar Shyamanand Singh, Champa Nagar. In your writing, you have mentioned about Raja Krityananad Singh of Banaili Estate. Kindly, throw some light on Birshah and Raghubir Kunwar as well. Raj Darbhanga has some connections with Raja Mahesh Thakur during Moghul Emperor (Akbar). I am residing outside India, however, I am very interested with Mithila Culture. Hope to hear soon from you-Surendra
