Araria is one of the district located in north-eastern part of Bihar, India. The district touches the Indo-Nepal international border also this area is very close to three countries viz Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan. The Land is a Karmbhumi (work-place) of legendary Novelist(story-writer) Sri Fanishwar Nath Renu. Agricultural identification is Machhli(Fish), Patwa(Jute), Dhaan(Paddy) etc. Araria have its natural beauty for green fields, ponds, rivers and canals. It has a view point of Mountain kanchanjungha (One of the great peack of Himalayan series).
District Information –
Araria is the district headquarter of the Araria district with two sub divisions, Araria and Farbisganj. Araria as a district was formed in January 1990 as one of the administrative districts of under Purnia Division. Mr. A.K.Chauhan served as a first D.M. Araria has been engraved out of the parent district of Purnia and covers an area of 2,830 sq.km . Araria is situated on the north-east front of Bihar. Neighbour districts are Kishanganj at east, Purnia at south, Madhepura at west. Strategically, Araria is important for security reasons as it shares its border with Nepal in the north. Also it is very close to two other countries (Bangladesh and Bhutan).
Infrastructure Araria is connected with the other districts of Bihar by bus and railways. The nearest railway station is Araria Court and Araria(R.S) and the nearest air port is at Bagdogra. Araria is also accessible to other parts of India by railways via Katihar Junction which is a big and important junction of NF Railway Division.
Demography Araria has a total population of 16,11,638,with rural population of 15,09,360 and urban population of 1,02,278.Araria has a sizeable SC population of 2,20,148 and ST population of 20,819.
Economy Araria mainly depends on agriculture,with paddy,maize and jute as the major agricultural products. There are also many jute mills in Araria.. However from 02.05.02, Araria has started developing the IT culture in the state with the establishment of NIC District Center.

We are realy proud to be the part of that town/ district which is most backward in the country but has produced greatest real son of soil Mr.Phanishwer nath Renu.
Though the condition of bihar has improved a lot so as well in araria also with national highway , broad gaze rail tract and improvement in conditions on infrastructure education,heath system and electricity. Thanks to the people for early realisation .Though it will take some time to come up on great indian map with brilliantly translucent light but the effort of every person of the district is required to improve the system.

I love Araria, District. My mothers native land in Bharganwan Block of Araria District. My mother is born in Bharganwan. In vacation my childhood time was spent in Bharganvan. That time this was in Purnea District. I was born in Darbhanga District. My father born in Darbhanga. Presently I live in Patna. But some time is spent in both the district.
I also feel responsibility for this place. So I work in both place. If any person is interested to visit us They can come in Mahila Jagran Kendra, Bharganwan. I have established a library and rural community activity centre. My wife Neelu helps in this work.

Myself M.Sabir Hasan, a resident of Doria Sona Pur, presently living in Kuwait.
Nice to see the information about Araria on web. I appreciate the effort whoever developed it. No doubt people of Araria district is very naive and gentle. Most of them believe easily whatever is told to them and local politician make of its proper use and because of this very reason Araria is one of the backward district education wise, not only in India but in Bihar too. Some 12 to 15 years back there was hardly any professional (engineering, medical etc) institute in Bihar. Of course there was limited seat in government institute for the same, and for this reason so many talented student couldn’t make their dream true. Now at least our adjoining district Katihar and Kishanganj having medical college. I am working in Kuwait University and as per my knowledge, honestly speaking from top to bottom level I am the only one from Bihar in this campus (Faculty of Science) where as there are uncountable south Indians peoples are here. Obviously they have large scale factory I mean affiliated colleges for making such type of people. Though I am not a very successful person to give advice anybody, yet I would like strongly recommend the people of Araia, give proper education, to their children and don’t keep in mind that after finishing the studies their son/daughter will get a job in central or state govt. If they get, it’s ok and if not, then they can absorb in any private firms with handsome salaries anywhere in the world and now the world become very short in this scientific age. Moreover in near future government job will be in numbered.
I also request AADARNIYA Sahara Shree to do something, like Pune for Araia too as it’s his Janam Bhoomi(birth place), like opening good schools/colleges for the promising students of Araria district.

There is no shame or much harm if we write and/or speak wrong English – be it spelling error, grammatical error, use of improper words, slips in pronunciation, and lack style in writing or lack of fluency in conversation. I say it because English is not our mother tongue. However, that shouldn’t be an excuse. To live in a society of educated, civilized people (where we in fact live) we must educate ourselves to communicate in proper English, only because English is an international language today.
But what I see in this forum is lack of common sense in communicating in English. Some uses sms language, some skips the netiquette (Internet etiquette, courtesy and consideration for others using shared services, etc) and more, which are not forgivable.
Please, be aware of your knowledge, your shortcomings etc and act accordingly. There might be many people not of Araria reading this digest, what will them think of us and of Araria people if we don’t correct ourselves and act accordingly?
Please keep in mind; people make mistakes but intelligentsia never get insulted
BTW, I’m also from good, old Araria. My father Dr. Late Lal Mohan Kundu was a private medical practitioner; we had a pharmacy in the market named “Kundu Pharmacy”. I was a student in Araria H. S. School, and was in the first batch to appear in higher secondary exam in 1963.
I was very (un)popular in my childhood and aged people of good old Araria (I mean when Araria was not a district) will still remember me, I presume.

The marwari community z leading in the business but i think they are accumulating their money….they should come forward and should participate in the development of this beautiful town.. They are following the traditional way of business and there z no changes in the trend and mode of business for the mordernisation of the town. I am sayin this by only targeting them just becoz of their major role, they play in the market of Araia. And the people specially from KULHAYA biradri have to change their mindset towards the society. They should leave the unecessary political activities like NETAGIRI, BABUGIRI etc…. they have to identify their weaknesses and the reason of their backwardness so that they can grow as other communities existing in the town. They should have co-ordination and co-operation with each other coz their little effort and contribution will help to make this small town in an ideal & peaceful place to leave and also a developed distt. of bihar.

अररिया, जाप्र. : कफ सीरप के नशेड़ियों का महाजाल नेपाल से लेकर बांग्लादेश तक फैला हुआ है। अररिया के एसपी शिवदीप लांडे द्वारा कफ सीरप की बड़ी खेप पकड़े जाने के बाद जारी निगरानी के आधार पर पुलिस ने असम के गुवाहाटी में तीन कंटेनरों में लदे अवैध कफ सीरप का बड़ा जखीरा पकड़ा। वहां के अधिकारियों ने एसपी से संपर्क कर उन्हें कई महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियां दी हैं।
एसपी ने बताया कि वहां के एसपी ने उनसे शुक्रवार को दूरभाष पर इस संबंध में बातचीत की और कई महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियां भी दी हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि पुलिस ने दोनों स्थानों पर पकड़े गए नशीली दवा के बैच नंबर, निर्माण स्थल, तिथि व अन्य जरूरी बिंदुओं की जांच शुरू कर दी है। एसपी ने बताया कि नशा के सौदागरों का महाजाल उत्तर में नेपाल से लेकर दक्षिण पूर्व में बांग्लादेश तक फैला हुआ है। वे पूर्वोत्तर भारत के असम, मेघालय, मिजोरम, मणिपुर आदि प्रांतों में जम कर कफ सीरप बेचते हैं ताकि युवाओं को नशे की लत से भरमाया जा सके। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि बांग्लादेश की ओर कफ सीरप का निर्यात मेघालय से सटे बार्डर से होता है और इस धंधे में भारत के कई बड़े तस्कर संलिप्त हैं।
कफ सीरप को कारोबार तस्करों के लिए भारी मुनाफा देने वाला बताया जाता है। जिस कोरेक्स या फैंसीड्रिल की कीमत भारत में 70 रुपये है उसी को नेपाल में 240 एनसी (नेपाली रुपया) में बेचा जाता है। संभवत: यही वजह है कि इस काले धंधे में भारत के कई सफेदपोश व्यवसायी भी जुड़े हुए हैं। जानकारों के मुताबिक नशीली कफ सीरप का कारोबार करोड़ों में बताया जाता है। अवैध तरीके से प्रतिदिन लाखों का कफ सीरप बिकता है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश के अनुसार कफ सीरप की बिक्री केवल चिकित्सक की पर्ची पर ही कह जा सकती है, लेकिन इसके कारोबारी धड़ल्ले से इसे कालाबाजार में बेच रहे हैं।

Now a day the young people of our society is consuming this alcoholic product to intoxicate.It is actually made for remedy of cough not for intoxicate.Use of this mix made item is injurious to health it creates impotency in male organs and major internal decease in body,by which one can loss his health as well as life also.
How to get rid ?. We can’t rid it, we can only rescue our people from this by using own psychological idea .we all have to ply a vital role to eradicate this bad habit of our society’s people,we have to prowl always new way to eradicate it .
I am requesting to all whoever may read this comments ‘please put a little effort to fight with this bad habit of our brotherhood’. by our little efforts the victim people can revitalize their life.
Right now i don’t have any idea how to stop a person to consume this product,but we can motivate them for his well being by our own psychology.Inshaallah i will try to find out some innovative idea by interacting with my friends and experts,if i’ll get it i’ll post it on same web page.

In my opinion somehow it can be control like this. Every medical store should provide this medicine to any needed individual on the basis of the prescription prescribed by the doctor. Although it’s very difficult for them (medical shop owner) to follow such type of rule as it’s their business to make money but for the noble cause of the society they should consider.

Araria born ,Forbesganj being my birth place neither gives me pleasure nor an identity that I am a Bihar born Indian .
I say so, only because if you send an application for redressal of any grievance on any blog, any letter you send to central Government or State Government, they simple either hang in computer, or the letters are used to wipe the table of offices they are sent to,or are sold as scrap by the office bearers or are burnt after they pile up to meet such a fate. There was great hype that Mr. Nitish kumar has created one blog. on that blog any advice,any complaint, any information a person seeks to post the Chief Minister with, may write on that “Write to CM” blog.
Once you write you receive a registration number of your so called complaint,advice or information. You wait for ten years ,non of the grievances you will find have been attended to. This is how bihar functions even under the most articulate CM. It is true that other than Nitish Kumar ,no body can bring Bihar to its right shape, however, in midst of giving it a size and a shape ,he has withdrawn himself under some compulsion or on his own will, God will only say.
I although am of the opinion that his over confidence in one particular section of the community in India which has ruined him and his relentless affinity will further put him on hot seat and may have to renounce politics and become a rustic.
I was looking at Nitish Kumar as a great and promising leader but all my aspirations fell down a bottomless well. Manjhi at the helm of affairs, may be he is simple, but are such simple people required in Today’s time.
According to me, Nitish will not ever be forgiven by the people of Bihar, not because he has stepped down mid-way not for his as such sacrifice but for his taciturn attitude and his compromise with a man Like Laloo yadav ,who plundered Bihar for 15 years. Again I shall vouch that Bihar is completely unsafe under Nitish behind the curtains and Laloo sitting by his side. Tomorrow’s goonda is today’s neta . Have you seen what happened to medical practitioners in Madhepura? Tomorrow you will see the promoters of Private Schools running from Police to administration to save their lives .What else you want to see in Bihar? Today Pappu Yadav is citing scriptures from Ramayan and Gita and Manjhi under Nitish is listening with rapt attention to him . I am neither a doctor nor a promoter of schools. But I can visualize what is in the offing.
what happened in Gandhi Maidan in the recently ended Maa Durga Puja Ceremony. Reported loss of life was 33 in number, can you believe this official figure is too small than the real number of casualties. Transferring SP, DM is a divine remedy against all maladies of mishaps. And it was resorted to by the Manjhi Government. Let us wait now , all dead will become alive soon.
